Precision Turbo

Pulled my Maf pipe off after work today and while poking around I reached in to check side to side on my compressor wheel and whoa that aint right...less then 200 miles on TA-49

So I pulled turbo, sat on bench, clocked it and broke it down except center section with both turbines

Called Precision to ask for a rebuild kit price, Talked to Matt and explained about it failing with low miles etc, told him im running copper gasket, pre-filter, great oil pressure, I primed it so forth and so on.

Matt told me they didnt offer any kits and I should send it in, I informed him that I bought this off a guy brand new in bag and still sealed so i knew the warranty would not transfer and I really didnt want to pay 180.00+ bucks when i might find the kit for 125? and just do it myself.

Matt replied Look I got a turbo out there that failed at under 200 miles..send it to me and i will take care of you.

So thats what IM doing

If I would have known that about a yr a ago I would still have the stocker and less aggrivation from Chopper at Limit.. Its ok though.. Called Cotton and even though I lighted my wallet he made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside w a CPT 61BB THDP and inj....

yea you can plainly see theres no miles on it but some serious side to side action and i primed it real good by hand and made sure my IN line was primed so who knows..kinda bummed me out though
