Presidential Edition

Just curious - looking through the classic car trader, we noticed a 1983 Buick Regal T-Type, Presidential Edition with T-Tops.

Was this some dealer/vendor aftermarket special deal? I've never heard of this "presidential edition".

It's going for about $11K and apparently it's 'very rare'. Is it so rare, this was the only one made?

I've seen "Presidental Edition" name plates on a number of vehicles down at the boneyards. Its an aftermarket conversion. Does this car have a cheesy looking "faux" convertible top?

Actually there was no picture included. It does state T-Tops and not convertible though.

Kinda thought it was an aftermarket thing. Thanks for clearning that up.
