preventive maintence software

i just spent an arm and half a leg on a new computer yesterday, so far so good. i ended up with a gateway (not my first choice, but i couldn't justify the extra $350 for an apple when all i'll use it for is music anyways) with all the bells and whistles. it came with a lot of stuff loaded on it (all of which seems to be useful) to help protect it but i was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions on programs to add. I had firefox loaded within the first 15 minutes, and i've also got the microsoft windows defender (the older version was great, i can only assume this one will work just as well).

any other ideal?

I use Spybot Search and Destroy(free), Adaware(also free) and have purchased
SpySweeper. I run ZoneAlarm Pro's firewall(also includes antispam and popup) and Norton Antivirus. Knock on wood, things have been good so far

Remove your antivirus

Create "normal users" for every day non-admin related work and watch what you download and install.
