Probably a steering column issue but I’m posting anyway

Long story here. I installed a B&M stealth shifter in the car and it’s been working flawless but I noticed no reverse lights and one day I could not get the key out of the ignition. I searched here and did the ghetto way of rotating the column on the steering wheel to get it out for the past month.

I drove it to work today and noticed that it would not go into reverse now for some reason. It is like something is jammed. So here I am with the car parked in the garage so close to my tool cabinets it’s not funny because I cannot back up. I cannot get the car on park, so I had to shut the car off in drive AND the damn jet is stuck in it...help. Is this a steering column problem?

Are you sure the shifter cable has not come lose? My stock cable came out of the bracket when it cracked at the mounting holder and did same thing. When it first cracked it was hard to get key out one day and the next day ended just like where you are now.
