Seems as though when holding it WOT if you realease the button, the brake releases, but the car does not move(could be boost related) If i stand on the brake and release the button while its spooling, It releases fine. I did pull the trans to pop in a different convertor today and looked inside, Found no sign at all of burnt friction.I am going to put a pressure gauge on it in the next day or so. Not sure if pressure will cause this or not. but it did it with 2 different convertors.
I believe it is a hipster brake.
Does anyone have a copy of directions for a hipster brake?
If so please email them to me.
THanks

yes, If they have the external solenoid where the vac modulator goes.

The spring isn't very stiff. If you don't have one, a 700 tv valve helper spring {the one that comes in most 700 seal kits} will work. :D

Just FYI, I had lots of problems with my Hipster. Finally got it right after several tries. I have posted in the past about it.

Good Luck
Louie

What problem Louie? The one thing i have a problem with is if i hold it to the floor against the 2step with 18#s or so,When you release the button the car just bumps forward and doesnt move, lift and smash the pedal and it takes off.If i hold about 5_10#s on the brake it release perfectly.

Mine wouldnt hold consistently. One pass id grab the button and hold and the other it would slide through the lights. What exactly was done to fix it i dont know but i remember the band getting hurt.

You may be loosing the converter charge. Th400's Pressure regulator valve sometimes cuts off converter flow when they are in heavy load. The solution is to full time feed the converter {now people will say this may cause the converter to possibly balloon, but if your using the 895/896 pump and stator combo it shouldn't be a problem} << Chris knows >>:D

Do you know how this is done? I am swapping another convertor next week or so i can do it then

Well transbrake is fixed, While playing with the wiring it seems power was getting back fed into the solenoid, but only once i was past turning on the volt booster was the power strong enough to keep the solenoid on,I Key on powered the solenoid and use ground as a off-on and problem is know solved
