Problems with ARP Head Studs

There were washers added to these two studs on each side. When the heads were removed, the studs are fully into the block. No threads showing. The owner is going to check the heads and then use a different gasket and try again. Hopefully everything will go better this time around.

Does this mean that there were no washers to begin with???

It had a washer but, the studs were a little too long/werenet down all the way/or something and the nuts were hitting the shoulder on stud they added a washer to give more threads
