.............I installed a Dual Fan ($79.99) from Ramchargers (part no. 674001) plus the adapter harness ($22.95- part no. 674002), which made the electrical part a "direct plug in". Here's a link.
............

Click on the link! :)

Or did you mean INSTALLED pics..? I'll have pics available shortly.....:)

This is a high priority item on my list. There have been days when it's not even that hot and my Scanmaster shows 180 degrees.

I just recieved mine and was wondering if someone could post some installed pics. Just curious on how you guys are installing them. Also where are the alky guys sticking the alky bottle. I am sure I will figure it out but some pics would sure speed things up :) thanks

Air flow???

Seems like I have more air coming from the drivers side fan than the passenger side fan. Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

Installation problem :D

Are these dual fans two speed? There are three wires on each of the motors a black (ground) yellow and green. I would like to make use of the 2 speed feature.

Black is ground
Send 12V to BOTH yellow and green = high speed
Send 12V to EITHER yellow OR green = low speed

Are you shure about that? I tried that and either is low or high its only at 1 speed.

No....I never tried it. I was just going from info. that was presented on this board when the fans first came out.

When I installed mine, I put the middle connector off my old stock fan into the RC harness and soldered it into the red wires on the harness. This way, the fans run on high whenever fans are required.

Sorry about the bad info...

John

I have a question: I run a felpro, and as such, I have removed the low speed fan resistor so the fan only runs high speed. I plan to buy these fans, do I need a harness?

Sorry you were right on the wiring. Need to power both green and yellow to get high speed and one or the other to get low. I figured how to wire it up to get the both low and high speed feature, but will need to use two relays. I have not tested it yet.

Would anyone know if when the high speed relay kicks in does the low speed relay kick in the same time?

No, the low speed relay does not automatically come on when the high speed relay does, they are triggered independently and may or may not both be on at the same time. The delay relay is triggered along with the high speed relay most of the time, and maybe all of the time but I just can't quite remember right now, sorry.

As for the FAST, I think you still want the TR adapter harness just to be able to plug the fans into the stock harness (I'm assuming you are using the stock harness with the FAST), and if you add the middle pin tied to the two red wires the fans will run at high speed off the FAST (and ac line pressure) and at high speed off the other triggers (ac line pressure, delay relay, over temp sensor, and the usual manual cooldown swith that ties into the over temp sensor).

Since the standard Ramchargers dual fan, and their standard adapter harness, are design & intended to always run both fans at highest speed, does this lead to "excessive" on/off cycling of the fans in moderate outdoor temps ??

If the the fans only turn on for a few seconds at at time, the rapid on/off may not be optimal for long relay life. Are the fans noisy when running at high speed?

Just considering whether it's preferable to have a medium speed for slow & steady cooling, with the high speed turning on only when needed, even if it does require some extra wiring effort. (I've got a ramchargers setup arriving next week).

No.

With this 2-speed operation the low is on when temps are 160-165 and on high when the temps are around 175-190 and the high depends on the chip.
