Will be doing my valve cover gaskets tommorrow night with felpro permadry gaskets. And was wondering what the proper torque is when putting the covers back on? Also should I get some of that zpp or zpd? I'm using royal purple oil? With 89,000 on the clock? Thanks guys
:)

Torque them to "German Torque"............Gut-N-tight. About 70 in/lbs. INCH pounds, NOT FOOT pounds, by the way.;)

be sure to have some gm cork ones available IF they don't fit....i bought them and have stock valve covers....couldn't get them to fit and stay down..some people have though...i ended up using cork ones and they fit no problem...they can be a PITA to remove and install and the frustration will increase if they don't fit..mine are hanging on the wall in my garage for decoration

I use the cheap cork gaskets from autozone and put sealer on the valve cover side only and just tighten until they are just snug with the turn of the wrist no need to apply much pressure and check them after driving a couple of days. I can remove the bolts after they have been on a couple of weeks and have to almost pry the valve covers off.

Yes, to putting the additive in the oil,it can only do your engine good to have it. ;)
