this might be a stupid question but what is the difference between pt ta te turbos?

that would be true with the '44, but otherwise those designations mean nothing.....dreamed up by the folks that build the turbos (although, "pt" turbos generally come from Precision)

I have a TA-63, which is different from a TE-63. The TA has a stock compressor housing with a REMOVEABLE inlet bell. The TE has a non stock compressor housing with a BUILT IN inlet bell.

The TE flows I believe 20? more CFM.

Here is a picture of the two different housings. The one on the left is a TE and has the built in inlet bell.

The one on the right is the TA and has a removeable inlet bell.
