I recently bought a pt54 and installed today on my stock long block. trans has a art carr 2800 9.5" and its very laggy. what stall is recommended for this turbo? thanks

If it was me..3200-3500. I like them loose to spool faster. Pulling fuel on the bottom and adding some timing will help too.

you can try a smaller ex housing and or loosen the stall.

3000@zero boost/vacuum and a good tune should spool it fast. You could have a Garrett housing cut for it that will drastically improve the spool. It's a 69 trim turbine.

If your not happy with the 54, I can trade you a TE44 with both Precision and Garrett exhaust housings.

Is it a 14 blade compressor? If so its a 60-1 compressor and likely a 69 trim T4 ex wheel.

Find out your 0psi footbrake rpm and that can help the diagnosis a bit.

Also, post or update your sig with some of your mods to give us an idea of where you're GN is currently at power wise. For all we know, you've got a chip and a cone and are wondering why that converter won't spool it up.
