SignUp Now!Anyone do any slip caluclations of a ptc 9.5 converter, lets say at 60 mph cruising? Just wondered how those converters drive on normal driving on the street. Thanks
Guys,
Talk to Dusty Bradford if you want a PTC.
Don't let PTC's web site scare you they put all their effort into building
great converters.
Do they make great lockup converters?
Do they make great lockup converters?
Dusty has one out on a stock long block and and 67BB car.
I am sure we can get a report on how it is doing.
Yeah, that's my car. I'm on 7-12's (nights) for next the couple of months so there won't be any track time for a while. FWIW I love the converter and the 6776 BB combo. I've been letting the car collect dust in the garage 'til last night I drove it to work. I nailed it from an idle in first and it was at 25 psi within three seconds. I'll post times whenever I can get to the track.
They do not make a multi disk for WOT lockup. What I can do is get an efficient converter that doesn't need to be locked up at the track but can be locked for highway cruises. PM me for details.
Their website is outdated. Like John said, their converters sell themselves at the track.
What different offerings do you have for the 200 guys?
12" lock-up
10" l/u and n/l. We have 2 versions. A street version and a race version. The race version has a more efficient steel stator but due to packaging issues discovered today we can not mate the steel stator version to a lock-up. If you want lock-up you get the aluminum stator like most companies use. It's efficiency will soon be known as we have a couple of these in cars now. The steel stator n/l 10" is what I ran in my TSS car.
Then you have the 9" and 9.5". The 9.5 is the TSM/TSO converter that impressed so many at BG. It comes in the steel stator version only for a bullet proof set-up.
Thanks Dusty, do the offer a light weight cover or a bolt together option for any of their units???
