Hi everyone
After a day at the track in October I was putting things away in the garage. I removed the slicks from the bags and cleaned off the rubber bits when I saw a screw embeded.
It was flush with the rubber as if it had been screwed in to the tire with a power tool, looked like just another pebble at a quick glance. I may have made a pass or two down the track with it embeded as the screw head is scratched.
It has an inner tube and tire does not leak and no signs of bulging.
Im concerned that it may compromised the construction of the inner plys. Will it "run" like a nylon stocking?
My first thoughts is to use a radial repair kit or melt the rubber with the small torch to seal the hole, but since I have several months before I head to the track again I thought I should hold off the surgery on the tire untill I get some opinions/suggestions from the good folks here.
Should I leave it or
Several pictures of the tire at end of album.
Thanks
