Push connect fittings

Where do you find the push connect fittings and hose for d.i.y. alky installation? No disrespect but please not the usual vender plugs!!!

I don't sell or recommend them as they all will fail or leak at some point

mcmastercarr.com has them air line connectors or any hydrualic hose supply shop as they are used for air lines

You see this with inexpensive systems and on "other" cars.

The Buick kit makers myself and SMC have never used this type of connection since we use straight alcohol which is flammable. The risks of an unprotected line and a fire are magnified. You would never use this type of fitting on your fuel system.

But hey thats why its a DIY. You go and experiment what works the best and make your own conclusions. If a few bucks on some quality lines stops you from doing what you need to do, you probably shouldnt be doing it. There is a reason we do what we do. Your best solution is to try and mimick what works and then apply your budget to it. Last place to cheap out is the lines and electrical.

Believe me.. if I thought I could get away with the plastic lines and push-in fittings.. I would have done it years ago. You dont see how many cars in a month I sell lines and fittings to convert their leaky systems.
