An hour ago I saw a baby duck, like one week old or so, running across my yard. Since we have killer cats around I chased the duck down and put it into a cardboard box. I then looked around for the duck family and can't find it so I'm a new father.

So far I've put water in with Donald and need to know what kinda food baby ducks eat...meaning the human kinda food just to get by with today. The local feed store is closed today so I need to keep it alive until I can talk to them tomorrow.

Thanks

my buddys mom had two ducks he says corn , feed pelets and even goldfish ( when its bigger i assume ):p

Thanks for the advice.

I had the duck in a cardboard box on the floor and when I checked it an hour ago it was fine. 5 minutes ago I checked it and it was dead.

Poor duck.

Knowing you, it probably blew a head gasket. ;) :D That is truly sad but just couldn't resist the cheap shot Chris.

Poor duck.

We could all learn a lot by reflecting on life's transience & fragility.

Thanks for trying to help, & for sharing the story.
