Question about about ARP bolt heads?

When,I pulled them used a 1/2 socket 6 point but notice that its not a real good fit. Tried a metric but its just as lose a little more. Is this normal or is the a socket ,I should be using? Tried 6 point and 12 point .

One's I just put in are 1/2" 6 pt. How good are your sockets? You need 6pt sockets for a good fit.

Agreed. Tool quality is a must. I have found even Snap-On tools to be identified incorrectly. If you have 6pt bolts, use only 6 pt. sockets, and if it's a 12pt bolt, then you'll need to use a 12pt. socket.
