The other day we put in a new o2 sensor and had an issue getting it in straight. We ran it for a little while, and pulled it back out. when we pulled it back out we noticed it was already covered in black soot. what would cause this????

Also, another issue is fuel pressure. I have set the car at about 36psi with the line off. When i put it on and take it out, it runs REALLY bad. I lower it down to about 19, it starts to build boost, and rev faster. For some reason I can only get up to 10psi right now. But I think that was because there was a leak from the 02 sensor spot. We're going to fix that this weekend. But, what would cause this type of issue???

Fix the leak at the 02 first. That's false oxygen and the computer probably thinks it's running lean. Do you have the right chip for your injectors?

sorry about taking so long to reply but for some reason i havent gotten any emails saying i have responses. But, Yeah we do need to fix the leak first. The chip is a thrasher 92 chip, and it does say 36 blue tops on the back. What do you think?

That chip is for 36# injectors. What size injectors are you running? Stock injectors are 28#. You need the proper chip for your injectors. Like cool said. What are you mods? -Nick.

I have 36# blue tops. My mods right now are, ported intake, ta33(te61 center section), 86-87 ecm, thrasher 92 chip, 36lb blue tops, ait sensor, adj. puel pressure regulator, and scanmaster. I have new igniton coil waiting to go in, but I havent gotten the module yet. I DO have the adapter just in case you ask. ;)

The richer we make the car, the worse it runs. But that could be because of the 02 sensor problem.

What do you guys think?

I also do have that y vacuum fitting with the proper size opening in it.

Fix that 02 sensor first. Then tell us what you got. You might have to loosen the ac belt up and push the ac unit all the way down so you can get to the 02 sensor. -Nick.
