Question about uploading picture to signature on TurboBuick.com

You guys showed me the procedure on how to upload pictures to a thread....it works real nice thanks to your explainations.

Now I'm having a problem of trying to upload a picture to my signature....there is no "upload a File" under the signature edit.....only the "Insert/edit image" on the little picture icon on the top of the page.....when I go to my picture files, I don't see any URL addresses in order to type in the "insert image" box.

What is the way I can put a picture of my GN in my signature portion of my page? I sure would appreciate an explaination...................HEY! I'm gettin' OLD here, help me out!!

you will need a place that "hosts" pix(i use Photobucket but there are many of them).

you will upload your pix to the "host" site and then it will have a way to insert the url to the pic so it can show up in your sig and your posts if you so desire. some places automatically insert the[ img ] [ /img ] around the pic url and some you will need to add it to get the pic to show up.

yup.. "img" tags are the way to do it. same as uploading pics- the pics that people upload to this site take forever to load for me, but if they host them somewhere else and put them into their posts with "img" tags, they show up immediately.

One thing this "new" board lacks is a way to access your own file uploads. If it was like any other forum board, you could upload your pic and use the img tags with it. Seems like a potentially huge waste of server space when members have to keep uploading the same stuff repeatedly instead of having access to use what's already there...

use the img tags, and the only server space you are taking up with your pics are that of the hosting site... i hear that a site called "facebook" lets you upload pics there and link to them using img tags.. there is also webshots, photobucket, myspace (that's still a thing, right?), and on and on and on..

I'm just sayin'... I've uploaded the same pic here a half dozen times because there is no way to access your uploads to use the img tags to refer back to that original upload. If this was possible, Bruce could then upload his sig pic here and use the img tags to refer to it, thus keeping everything right here on-site...

I like to bring this up wherever possible in hopes that a mod will eventually do something about it.
