I got the end off ok at the gear box, but at the pump is another story. There are two nuts on the hose. I turned the upper (smaller) one and the one that actually is closest to the power steering pump (lower one) turned with it. However it didn't turn enough to lift the hose out of the pump. There is no room to put a wrench on it. Looks like I have to remove the pully in front of it to get access to the nut. How does this pully come off? Has anybody else encountered this? Should be a piece of cake once that pully is out of there. Thanks.

Yes take belt off. There are holes in the pulley to access the bolts. I think they are 13mm.

I got the pump off. Fitting on the hose was frozen to the hose, didn't spin freely like it should. There is also a fitting in the pump, which also tried to spin off with the hose, but only went so far. I had to put a wrench on the pump fitting while I turned the hose fitting. It finally spun free of the hose and lifted off. Hose was less than 6 months old.

Your sparked my curiosity...if the hose is only 6 months old what are you taking it off for?

Installing a hydroboost brake unit. I made some posts in the brakes/suspension thread. Instead of the hose running from the pump to the gear box, a new hose has to be installed to run from the pump to the hydroboost.
