I got my 275/60/15 M/T Drags from a member here. Very nice tires. And we put them on. Since these tires are taller. Is it gonna hurt my times. I dont have alot of HP's like some of these guys have. Also I have stock gearing (dont know what ratio). My best time was 12.8 with a crappy 60 ft of 2.154 @ 109 with my 235/60/15 BFG's. So, what do yall guys think. Need a smaller Drag Tire.

taller tire has more rollout and sidewall to handle the initial hit on launch.load the car with boost on the line and hang on for some fun.

Haha. Not gonna be that bad is it. I used to race with slicks when younger. Just drove through it. Got alot older and hate tha backend going side to side. lol . I'm gonna try them at 20 lbs first. Been told to put them at 17 lbs. And i'm gonna try and leave between 5 - 10# of boost.

The tires are very stable at speed, don't worry about that. Since they're a lot more tire than you need, 20psi migh be a good starting point. I ran the same size tire. Leaving at about 12psi on the transbrake it would pull the front tires a few inches off the ground. Tires were about 17-18psi.

you will be fine with those John...they are great tires I have a set on my Vette and they work very well....I have lots of broken IRS stuff to prove it lol!!!! If your car will hold a 10psi launch then you will see a huge drop in your 60' and your 1\4 e.t will be much better also. Set them at 20psi as mentioned and get a little heat in them and you will love them!

Tks. Are you going to the track this friday. Don gave my friend paul your number to give to me. I'll hit you up in the next few days. Your GN still down.

I May I tried to go last Friday I got my new converter in and its like a completely different car.....spool time is insanely fast so yes I am anxious to get it back to the track........I plan to try some low boost passes get the car in the 11's on 15 or 16psi.

Yea. Track was closed last friday. But I think it will be opened tha next couple of fridays. I'm just hoping my Power logger gets here in time before I go. I'll call ya 2morrow.

yeah I think they will be running most every Friday night until they close for the season.......I am not gonna make it tomorrow its the wifes birthday this weekend but I should get out there next Friday......it will definitely help if you have a logger now and a good set of tires we can tweak your tune and I think you will be very happy.
