Questions About stored car

i am close to trading my car and becoming a Grand national owner its a 1985 and has been stored for the past 10 years but has been started regularly i am going to look at it this week what things should i look for? I've been doing my fair share of research on grand nationals but mostly 86 and 87 so i could use some help guys thank you

Rust, Rust, Rust. Here we go...Look in: the rear quarters--both sides--inside the trunk...take a digital camera with you and stick it down in there and shoot...you'll be surprised what you won't be able to see!:eek: Bottom lip of the doors/decklid, rear frame rails above the rear wheels and behind the rear wheels, in the trunk where the floor meets the wheelwells, and the floors from front to back. If it is a T-Top car---I might need more room to type!:eek: Sitting in storage for an extended period of time can be a good thing...or a bad thing depending on location and conditions. I'll let some of the veterans in this forum let you know what to look for motor wise. HTH ---Keith

Anything with rubber or rubber on it will have to be replaced including body bushings. If the engine runs it will need a spring cleaning as listed on GNTTYPE.ORG. Just for starters. Brad
