Quick 3.5" Question

I got some JL Audio 3.5" speakers out of my brothers Mustang. However, they have a tweeter in the middle of them that extends up farther than the mounting surface. I havent had the front dash plate off of a Regal in a long time, will these fit under it? I dont want to go through the hassle of pulling it off only for them not to fit.........cause my dash plate is slightly cracked in a few places......Thanks

my 3.5" had a 1" tweeter in them, never fit.

Bend the mounting tabs - they will fit.
