OK, my car runs 12.30-12.40 consistantly w/ race gas 23psi/thrasher chip. I put razor's PAC system on and with no changes but 93 octane and FP to compinsate , first pass was a 12.203 @ 112.42. running a little rich through the trapps. Thats over a tenth faster than my best pass and 1/8 mph picked up along with the 1/4mph. And in 90 degree heat!

Alky works period.

Put an Eric Marshall chip in and ran 11.94@113.07

Turned alky up a little and ran 11.98 @ 113.85 and 93mph in the 1/8th:eek:

Julio and Eric should be very proud of their accomplishments.

what kind of fuel were you using?

i was going to go alky, but got ahold of some vp and was overly impresed with it, i had a great time drop, something like 3/10ths going from sunoco 110 to vp red (98 octane) after that i didn't even think about alky.

I normally use sunoco 100/110/112 vp112.

Different fuels will burn better than others , but I know I wont be paying $6.00 a gallon for race fuel anymore.

Meth is 2.50 a gallon and I dont even go through that in a day of racing.(5 passes or so)

93 octane 15.5 gallon tank@1.90 a gal.=29.45+2.50=$31.95 for a full tank and meth

Race gas15.5 gal.@6.00 a gal.=93.00 and dont forget that 02 sensor.20.00

$32.00 or $93.00+ I dont know about anyone else, but I am nervous at a light thinking about how much I am burning the whole time.

Just like driving with your slicks on the street! I can, but I dont!:D

I do :D

Money saved on race gas lets me buy slicks ;)

TT, what changes did you make with Eric's chip? I had to turn my FP way down with my JC chip, now the car is running well with it. I'll be installing Eric's chip this weekend, prolly put the FP back up since he cuts the fuel down in the map so you can run your 41-43 psi. Did you do this also? Other changes?

Nice! 11's on 93+alky Ohhhh baby...I'm getting itchy to get back to the track with my new big neck IC and my TurboTweak chip!

I tuned the alky a little with the thrasher on the street for a half a day and then put the EM chip in.
Watch your blm's ... should be 128 +10 , -10 while driving around.Little trick i picked up from a friend.
Exact FP... I dunno. I adjust the fuel to get the 128+or- and wot fuel in the chip adjustments.I will prolly end up with more boost to lean it out a little more(770-790 through the trapps now) and start throwing a little timing at it.

I am more excited that the car ran 93 MPH in the 1/8! I thought it came out of the hole quick that last pass!

Gimme 22mph from 1/8 to 1/4 and 115mph will feel real nice

Thanks for the info...So you didn't have to trim the FP back with the thrasher and up it with the EM chip?

also, I'm wondering if I need to lose my "Volt Booster" as it ups the system voltage by about 2 V (and therefore the FP) over 10 psi...makes tuning a bit tricky as you're always getting more fuel up top...but that's safe I guess, but I want fast too...any experience or thoughts?

I still need to trim a little fuel out in the EM chip (770-790 02's) weather it be boost or chip and I should be lean and mean at 740-750's.

The thrasher is not designed for alky so my initial testing involved backing the FP out a lot and cranking the alky up resulting in 760's for 02's.

Take baby steps with this proceedure (20psi to start)and dont flog the car repeatedly or your tranny will be toast.

Recommended shifting the gears softly ,letting off like a stick and manually shifting. And dont go balls out 120mph either. bottom of third should tell you where 02' will be in 1/4 top of third. Roughly looking for upper 700's .

VP Red is 105 (or 104 i cant rember)
