Are you SURE you have the correct stock convertor in the car. Your times sound similiar to mine on a bone stock car i used to have that i found to have a D7 rather than D5 convertor. Put in the right convertor and it made a WORLD of difference.

i'm not sure of the converter... but i remember that the trans guy told me it was so i guess i should get under the car and check for sure..... as for the chip i tried the thrasher and i also have a kenne bell chip and it ran the same with both chips ...i have a buddy that has a pitbull chip and a lubrant chip and i'm going to try booth of those and see what will happen.....
