Not to knock the fancier wires.

But, I to run the autolite lifetime warranty wires fom Autozone and have only had a end come off once and that was my fault getting in a hurry pulling on the wire vs the end.
I get a new set every year for free, keep the box and recpt and swap them out no questions asked. Went from MSD supeconductors to these.....couldnt tell any difference.
I am so glad I posted this question before I went out and bought some $100 wires! saved 70 bucks

Yeah I've been running cheapo $40 Delco wires for the past couple years with no problems. Before that I had those pretty red $70 MSD wires...and before the MSDs I had super cheapo Borg Warner wires from Kragen. Guess what....I didn't see any difference in any of them.

Maybe for an 8 or 9 second car those expensive wires will show a difference?

Yep.......In the wallet.:) I usually buy three sets of universal V8 wire sets (straight boots) and build a fourth set for "free". Hardly pays for the time needed fab them up, but it helps guys out. I've used the Accel 8.8 racing wires for years. Agreed that the cheap wires will do the job, though. Most folks like the look of higher quality wires, though. So that's what they get. A few years ago some folks tried to steal my sons Toyota pick-up. Failed because he was caught by my neighbor (cop) He did out run the neighbor though and wasn't caught. So my son always pulled his coil wire off after that. Two weeks later they cam back and stole it. Rolled it down the street and tried starting it. Nothing. Another neighbor saw them trying to start it and DIDN'T CALL THE COPS!! (glad THEY moved!!!) But they managed to get it running and three weeks later the truck was recovered. (in the next town north of us) We went to pick it up at the impound yard (at a cost of $250 to me:mad: ) I did a quick safety check before my son drove it home and there was a piece of Romex household wire for the coil wire. BUT....................There was a brand NEW clutch master cylinder bolted to the fire wall. Apparently the Romex worked well enough that they didn't buy a new coil wire, but bought a new master cylinder.. So now I run Romex wires for HIGH power applications. Looks BADAZZ, too!!! Nothing like square, white spark plug wires. THey last three times as long, too. Once you burn through one strand, you have two more to hook up.:D Kinda confusing, though..........White wire? Green wire?...Black wire????? Which one goes where??

The last two sets I got I bought from Autozone for around the high 30.00$ range, the fit and
all were very good and the color was close to factory which I prefer to the reds, yellows etc. which
myself do not like but that is just my 2cents, thanks

from Autozone , these were the Bosch brand at around
high 30.00$ range fit well and close to the original color, I myself do not like those red,
yellow or other bright type colors

WOW! where do you live so I'm sure never to go there haha. If I see someone stealing my car or my neighbors it will be the last thing they steal! If that cop neighbor had of just shot him the first time you wouldn't even have to worry about it the second time. Anyway, I just went to autozone and bought some wires, I got the duralast because they were 20 bucks and the bosch were 30 and my buddy that works there said they are the same wires. Lifetime warranty and I saved 80 bucks!
