i heard you can use radiator hose for intercooler/intake plumbing? anyone ever use this on a GN and what were your results? i used home depot pipe hose for the turbo to intercooler hose and that great i dea lasted all of 1 minutes at 10 psi. i know radiator hosing is stronger tho and is made for high pressures and heat.

I use hose from a semi (tractor/trailor) place. I think it is Radiator hose...they have it in a buncho sizes and it is VERY TUFF. I think I could get by with out useing hose clamps if I had to. cheap too...I think a 12" piece was around $8.00. If you want to spend the extra cash they sell it in the reinforced silicone too.

Try Napa they have HD hose you have to buy 1ft cut what you need sell the rest. Take your old hoses to get the correct fit

Maybe I am missing something, but why not just purchase the proper hose ?

The "proper" hose (stock) is inadequate. The pre cut stuff is big $$$ for what you get. Why order it if you can buy local?

i am thinking of doing a PS intercooler project and if i can find any way to save some money i will. i bought some hosing that was made for a turbo induction system from a local hose supplier (Amazon hose) and while it is nice and a high quality piece, i was $27 for a 4 inch piece. by the time im done with my project i could have just bought a JC FMIC, LOL. also im thinking of doing piping under the radiator (traditional FM style) and a rubber hose would, IMO, take a scrape better than a metal tube since it would keep its shape. it will also be easy to fix if it gets busted.
