I turned on my radio today and all was good for about a minute. then i hear a faint poppong sound, smell a tiny bit of burned plastic and notice my radio is no longer on and the clock isnt lit up. i checked the fuses, they are ok, so now what?

EDIT: Forgot to mention its a stock am/fm casette unit.

The radio is probably fried. Pull it and check all of your wiring going to it and near it. Thats the first step. Let us know.

gah. I'm a moron, must have pulled the wrong fuse when i was checking the first time. checked again, pulled the right fuse with the assistance of a flashlight, and bought a replacement 20 amp fuse and now its all good! thanks for the help though.
