Hi guys,


Can anyone tell me code U63 I am aware that it is a Am radio. Not sure if it is Fm as well. I see that GM had a few types back in 87 based on the owners manual. Can anyone tell me which on is correct. They had one with orange illumination and one with green illumination which i think that it was a little higher of an option than the orange.


Please let me know.

If anyone has a picture of this radio RPO U63 it would be great. If anyone has a mint one for sale please let me know.

RPO U63 is just a mono AM. No FM or stereo. More or less the base radio assuming you dont count the UL5 rado delete option. Sorry I dont have any pics. I see these base AM units every once in awhile. If I run across one I'll post a photo. I'm kind of working on a restoration guide for the TR and I need a pic of it anyway.

Thank you very much. If you come across an original mint rpo U63 Radio, i will buy it. I beleive that they are a push button style. Believe it or not, my gn came with rpo U63 but i have the upgraded am/fm cassette with equilizer. II seem to have a problem with it and thought of finding the original radio and putting back according to the codes. The original owner changed the radio. The car came with u63 but the owner told me that he requested upon striking the deal with the dealership that he wnted a cassette with eq. I think that the wiring is the same just plug in! Have you ever seen a gn with am radio? Ii have not yet just mine!
