I have a new problem I need help with. My car has a miss in it and stumbles at idle in park or idling in drive, and runs very rich. When driving at like 35 mph steady it feels like the car is holding back, not jerky but feels like when your in a head on wind and it slows you down. I checked my coil pack today, I'm not sure what the ohms are suppose to be on a 85 coilpack 11-13? Anyways I got these readings 13.43, 13.55 and 13.72 ohms. The car was warm when I checked the coilpack. I also took the coil off the top and looked at the stuff inside mine is still intact and not slimy looking. Could the ignition module be messed up? Whats your thoughts on this? By the way my whole engine before the rebuild had 105k on it. The only sensors I haven't replaced are the Crank Sensor, cam sensor and the ignition/coil module. TPS, IAC are new with a known good replacement maf sensor. I'm thinking either my Crank Sensor or Ignition module isn't working right. I don't have a scan tool, but i did set the iac by procedure and the tps.

OK today, I rechecked my cam sensor, timed perfect (with caspers tool), checked my crankshaft sensor to make sure the blades go through (checked ok), checked all the plugs (re-gapped to .035) and put new wires on. I still get idle surge/stumble. At start up cold, the car will idle surge like up and down 400 rpm until it warms up, then when it warms up it surges 100-200 rpms up and down but has the stumble throught this whole process. I tried replacing my maf with my other maf and the stumble and surge was worse than before (it should have, I suspected my old one was bad). I also noticed that if I shift from idle/drive to idle/park the rpms shoot up real quick then try to level off, but still idle/surges. Bad MAF sensor? I know the old one was bad, but maybe the new used one is to, my car is also running very rich. Anyway to check the MAF to see if its bad? Anyone have any thoughts on this yet?

it sounds to me like it is the maf i went through three and finally found one that worked i got it from postons it was the new tomco unit put it in and it worked fine you can also check and see if all the vacum hoses are hooked up correctly good luck
