I blew a head gasket last night at the track, no big deal. I pull the head off today and find its cracked:mad: . These are the latest Champion alum. heads. The ones that are "Better" Two cracks both from the spark plug hole going towards the intake valve. I have maybe 300 miles on them and about 30 to 40 passes at the strip. Sure glad I paid good money to have junk cracking heads! This car is going to drive my to build a Chevy:D . Everytime I turn around somethings broke and then because its a Buick it cost 3 times as much to fix it! Sorry about the b*tchin just had to vent!

hey Quik, it's all good. I think I would be ready to crack myself if that happened. Try calling Champion and see what they say. If nothing else, I would think they would want to check them out for possible improvements. Mark

Man I tell you what...I think I'd B**** enough for a new set if it was me...or if your really pissed my money back.

Are you trying to say that any B**ching should even be required. Call them up and tell them how long they lasted, then ask how long should they last. If I had to do any B**ching at all, it would be about getting my money back, not about getting another set of heads.

I will be calling them to see what they say. I bought them back in March 2001 so I think they are going to say to bad about any chance of getting them fixed for free:(

A Chevy II with a turbo small block is looking really good right now:D

Hey, sounds like you have endless money to spend on your car buying the "latest aluminum heads" (I'll stick to iron). Heck, you can afford to build a turbocharged chevy, no problem. :p

Yeah I have more money then I know what to do with. Thats why I own a Buick;) I would stick to iron heads also but its hard to go low 10's high 9's on those. If I built the small block I would have 2 extra cylinders atleast!
