Anyone else feel free to chime in if you know the answer.

First, if you remember I'm the guy with the misfire at the top of first and blamed it all on alky. Well, that's because it all started when I installed the kit. Just a coincidence.

Anyway, I regapped my plugs, cleaned up all my grounds and the misfire has been reduced to a bog and a little kr at the top of first gear. I'll be heading to the boneyard next weekend to get a spare coilpack, module, and ECM. I'll also be putting a fuel gauge on this week to rule out the fuel pump.

Now enough history and onto the questions:

I had the pump set at 60psi because I thought my problem was too much alky. How many turns to I need to go on the regulator to put it back to the way you shipped it to me?

I also finally got my Snow adj controller in the mail. (Don't me mad at me, I traded a laptop for it. $0) It is the new model BTW. Anyway, what do you suggest the turnon PSI and max PSI should be?

Thanks for your support.

Mike

Well there is a big difference between mis-fire and bog.

If you have a controller, turn the screw down on the pump to raise pressure. have it come on at 5 PSI and your max should be where you never will go. Like 25 PSI.

I have not played with the Snow controller. So... I have no clue of the in's and out's of it. You may want to call Matt Snow and get his take on setting it up.

Now your car at 60 PSI alky pressure should not bog whatsoever the top of any gear at boost levels over 15-16 PSI. You may be introducing way too much fuel(chip) into the motor, that really may be your issue.

Thanks for the info.

My bog actually happens whether I running alky or not.....with 2 different chips. When I say bog I may be using the wrong term. The car basically falls on its face in the top of first. This only happens if I hammer it from a slow roll. If I launch with boost or ease into it I don't see the problem. Turbolink sees nothing (I wish I had direct scan) but I get some knock showing on my knock gauge and it goes away as soon as the car shifts. 2-3 shift is fine and no problems in the top of third. This problem was a misfire until I did what was mentioned earlier. I'm pretty sure it's ignition. Once I get it worked out I'll start tuning.
