Just curious as to who has hooked up "the violet wire" & how it's helped you? My car is a street driven 95% of the time & just wondering if it would benefit me to hook it up? I want to start going to the track 3 or 4 times a year, but most of my testing comes via the other guy being in the wrong place at the right time... :)

My 'ol TTA has it hooked up. My new one doesnt.

Put it on a simple pushbutton switch to ground.. see if it makes a difference when you push the button down

If it doesnt.. then dont worry bout it. If it does... then work on the strategy to wire it into the car.

Remember... IF that wire stays grounded.... you'll have a BIG problem.

what does this wire do??

It brings down pressure on the system approx to 1/3 of what it can be. The reason is some vehicles dont have the ability to pull fuel out as the boost increases and shooting alky in makes the AF super rich.. so I devised an input to the box that quenches alky being shot in to allow a quicker spool up.

Example, you run a stock computer, larger turbo, and a tight converter.. as you start to bring it up on boost the chip goes into PE and drops a bunch of fuel in.. the alky on top of that would typically create an issue and slow down the spool.. so now we can ground a wire and limit the output of the alky system down 66%.. as soon as the ground is lifted.. it resumes normal tracking.

Now if the alky rolls into to quick.. we can also use a resistor/capacitor on this wire to develop a time delay in bringing it to normal tracking once the ground is lifted..

Dont worry Len.. this is only for tweakers

On the FAST you meerely pull the fuel out as it comes into boost and let the alky roll in.. My next addition to the kit may be a multiplier input. As some cars really like the meth poured in when staging.. more R&D will come.. I have a few EVO guys cranking the meth in and gettin sum neato results to the tune of over 600 WHP out of a 2 liter Mountain Dew  hint..GT35R

With the Extender chip, could leaning the Spool Fuel parameter accomplish the same thing by pulling fuel out (rather than pulling alcohol out by grounding the violet wire)?

hard to tell. Signboards give no clue. I assume Jerry won and jabbed bindres to avoided breakout...Mustang took off hard

AWD mirage?

Tease...tease,...tease me more please

I hooked the violet wire up per Razor's directions... using a relay on the brake switch. I didn't want to inject un-necessary alky during a burnout or foot brake launch. I have however.... found a reason to put a defeat switch... to "unhook" the violet wire... or leave the switch where the violet wire stays unhooked... until you get ready to do a burnout.... I was going to brake build some boost in 2nd gear.... rolling about 30 mph.... and my knock detector went off...... took a second to register.... that the brake switch... had it pulling alky... while I was attempting to brake build boost.... anyway... I am going to install a switch... so I have full alky flow... even though the brake switch is on.... except for a burnout... or launch... then I will turn the toggle switch off..... which will let the brake switch pull some alky flow.....

Just a thought......
