Since my engine is out and the convertor is right there should I have it re-stalled or just buy a Vigilante, Precision, etc...? I need around a 3,200 stall. I tried a local tranny shop that has been around for ages and the guy said he would re-stall it for @ $300... he just wouldn't guarantee it due to it being in a GN. He wouldn't guarantee a rebuild when I asked a few years back due to the same reason. Of course i took it elsewhere. I tried a few other shops and nobody does re-stalls. I even got desperate and tried AAMCO. They don't do them either. Who's got the best deal on an aftermarket convertor anyways? I'm not looking to start a "we got the best deals " war, just want a good deal. thanks.

If it was me I'd get a new one, but that's totally a personal decision...I'd rather just buy a new high qual convertor cuz I drive hard and that's just one less thing to worry about breaking...When I say I drive hard I mean I try to see how much boost I can leave at, ALL THE TIME...Like every stop light.

check out the 2004r convertor catalog at url below.we can get you set up with what you need ,or at least help you choose the right stall speed for your application.

LOL, Probably...It's pretty cool here right now, and I was out today destorying some tires.

I almost died today. When I went to check on my car last week the guy told me he had checked the clearances and was getting ready to install the bearings. I expected another month for the bearings to be put in. To my surprise my engine was back together today!!! I went to bring him my turbo and there it was on the stand! Only a few little odds and ends are left. A broken hard vacuum line was found and needs to be welded up. That is probably why I had drivability problems so often. Now all I have to do is come up with a grand to finish the job. My "3 week job" that started back in May is finally coming to an end. Just in time too! I've seen low 40s to high 30s overnight temps this week.:D
