Lemme see if i can explain this accurately.

Just noticed this about a month ago.

From a dead stop and at lauch, i mash the pedal to the medal and the knock gauge shoots right the last red light and remains there for about two or three seconds, then goes right back to the normal green reading, all while my foot is still planted to the floor.

From a roll of about 30mph or so in second gear i mash the pedal again and the knock gauge doesnt budge, stays at normal green reading.

Ive turned down the boost to 18# and run nothing but 100 octane in my car, and it does the exact same thing. Like i said it hasnt done this before, however i just recently replaced my te-44 with a te-60, not sure if that matters or not, it flows more air, but have tuned accordingly with 02s in the 770-800 range consistently. New HRpartsnstuff poly motor mounts both sides KM DP that hits the heater box a little but like i said it never did it before with the exact same unchanged combo..

anyone?

thanks

Have you checked motor / tranny mounts? and/or do you have a torque strap? it sometimes gives false knock.

At a dead stop there's a lot more stress on the engine, but with 100 octane there shouldn't be a problem if everything is right.

Have you checked the vac line from the turbo? Sometimes when there is a leak it will make the boost jump at takeoff (like mine does). I have a thrasher chip in mine right now, and at dead stop it'll jump up to 21+ psi and have a little knock without good gas, but with over 95 octane gas it runs fine.
