Really Slow Reverse

I replaced all the bands and clutches in my 2004R and everything is working great EXCEPT reverse. when you put it in reverse it takes about 4 to 5 seconds to engage. It goes in so light that you can't feel it. When it's in reverse it doesn't seem to slip.

did you leave out the case cup plug that seals the reverse oil from leaking out between the case and the lo reverse clutch housing?
