Rear end Carrier Upgrade

I'm in the process of upgrading my rear end and just want to know which is the best limited slip carrier to go with.

If you mean a posi-type unit, then an Eaton unit with disc style clutches.

If you are also getting axles, then get both the carrier and the axles in 30-spline for more strength.

I went with a eaton tru-trac and haven’t had any issues . Held up to 700rwhp pretty easily . I put moser axles and the tru-trac with stock gears .with C Clip eliminators on the axels

how important are c-clip eliminators ?
Well if you legally want to run at the drag strip per nhra rules any car faster then 10.9 needs them aswell as a 6 point cage aswell as some other stuff . Another thing is that do you really want all the power you are making to be held together by a small 3/16” thick piece of steel . There are plenty of videos to explain what they are and why it’s a good idea to have them if you plan on making some decent power .

guys, I remember back in the day people complaining how c-clip's used to leak like a sob. Does that still hold today or has the design been changed?

how important are c-clip eliminators ?

Not worth a damn, years ago I broke an axle w/c-clip eliminators leaving the starting line.

The axle stayed in place, but the wheel and flange went down the track, and my car made a hard left turn and took out the 60' lights, and slammed into a Honda broadside?

For a street/strip car, go with the 30 spline axles!

thanks. yes the plan is the 30 spline set-up with a trutrac, but wondering if i should do c-clip eliminators at the same time.

Not an easy bolt on
