I have an empty 8.5 case. Im going to have it built. What is recommend? It will be a 10.50 car but 85% street driven. Im thinking 30spline axels, eaton 8.5 posi. Any other recommendations? Who should I buy gears from? What else would you upgrade?

8.5 is pretty stout but a couple things to strenghten it. Have the tubes fully welded, stud the caps and get a good girdle like a TA or similar. 30 splines are a must with a new unit and you may want to look into eliminating the c clips. Last but not least, infact most important, make sure the setup is good. Most important part to making it live a long time.
