.090 minus .061= .029 wear, plus the wear on the crankshaft thrust surface. I had a small block Chevy years ago that was just as bad with the crank hitting the block at #1 main. I put a crank kit in it and drove it another 80,000 miles. Ballooned  converter was the cause.
