Summit has a Speed Pro 7.66:1 with 48cc head, hyper kit for $370. I would like to find the dame thing except in Forged.

Recommendations?

Thank,

Before you put that order in with Summit, you better determine when that stuff will ship. I looked to order bearings and gaskets from Summit until I found out some of the stuff would not be available until mid August. I went through my machinist and ordered the following parts. Cam bearings: Durabond BP13T (dry film lube/teflon inpregnated steel babbit; rod bearings: speed pro 6-7120-ch; main bearings: speed pro 107m; ROL performance gasket set KS33061X (X designates neoprene front and rear seals). I chose the ROL gaskets because their head gakets are the closest configuration to factory. Since I haven't had a head gasket issue (knock on wood), I'll stick to a factory type gasket. Otherwise, you can use Cometic (sp) head gaskets. The gasket set doesn't include the valley pan intake and I ordered a GM valley pan intake gasket. It has the EGR provisions and my lower intake and heads are match ported to the factory gasket. I ordered aftermarket nylon pins for the rocker arms. Also ordered new upper and lower radiator hoses, s-hose, a new serpentine belt and 2 cans of GM EOS from GM. You can get forged pistons from Nick Micale. If this is the first time you're taking your engine down, this is a great oportunity to match port the cylinder heads and lower intake as the previous gaskets (that have been ther forever) provides a good template and if your heads are goiog to get a valve job anyway, they'll get cleaned during the valve job.
