By my own dumbass mistake, i fried the band. Not bad, but bad enuff By powers beyond my control, im forced to do this thing myself. Its been almost 20 yrs since ive been inside an automatic.
Im a truck and heavy equipment mechanic for 20 yrs now, i got out of cars way bak then
Anyway...
i just tore down a junk 200 to familerize myself w/ the guts of one, now i gotta see if i can get one bak together , and hopefully it might wurk.
I got a kit from Transtar w/ Raybestos blues, a hardend stator, and a 10 vein pump kit. Is the anything else i shoulda got too ??
Any tips or tricks i should know about ??
I do need the clutch pack clearances..please ??
Any other info that might make this a less pain in the ass experiance would be greatly apreaciated...tks in advance
Ps: this tranny was done about 10k miles ago, and had a builders shift kit installd, what holes he drilled, and whatever, i dont know, but it did shift nice
