Im finishing up some winter maintenance to my 97' GS and figured after 110k+ miles its probably time to do some blower maintenance as well. I logged on to ZZ Performance's website and found there are alot of different parts i can order. Ive heard to go with the green couplers, and the GM oil, but will one bottle be enough?

Also, would i need to replace any other items while i have it apart? they have bearing/rebuild kits, booster caps, clutch springs, phenolic spacers, shaft plugs, bypass valves, needle bearing grease, etc. Should i get any of these extra items to maximize the potential of my rebuild?

Thanks in advance

I had my Riviera done 4 months ago just had the snout rebuilt, bearing and seal works like a charm. I had a 3.0 pulley installed at the same time while it was apart. One bottle of GM oil will not be enough.

Pretty sure there are mods to do to the blower case itself to increase boost & airflow.
They do mods to the Pontiac GTP supercharger,,,,,,,, same blower????

what exactly is your blower doing ? my daily driver has 213k and has had nothing but sc oil changes

replacing the coupler is pretty common if the sc starts sounding like its crushing rocks thats usually all it is

2 bottles of gm oil will be needed , the used stuff will be ripe - we call it gorrilla ass juice you will see why lol

the charger on a 97-04 regal gs is the same m90 gen 3 used on gtp's up until 2003 ( 2004 & newer got an improved gen5) its also the same charger used on 97 + riviera , PA ultra , SSEI , monte/impala ss , olds LSS etc...

as far as porting the blower and lower intake it is most needed if adding an intercooler core (liquid to air) between the 2 to maximize the exposure and thus effectiveness of the IC's core - I added a stage 3 inlet & outlet ported charger and ported lim to one of my cars and saw no gains and was racing the car weekly at that time

to the person with the 3.0 pulley I hope you added an intercooler , cam , headers & catback , colder plugs & t stat , larger injectors , and a tune at a minimum or you will be chipping pistons above the ring lands very quickly - most cars do not even take well to a 3.5 pulley without supporting mods - a 3.0 pulley is a damn aggressive pulley and will spin the charger well beyond its efficiency range and produce a lot of heat

pulleys are the last thing you do on L67's after you get the supporting mods in place , supporting mods make them considerbly quicker even on a stock pulley , 13's on a stock pulley is not that hard

so it looks like a green coupler ($30), 2 bottles of GM oil ($16), and ill throw in a bearing/rebuild kit ($20) for good measure. $66 + shipping... not too bad. Thanks for the advice guys
