wondering what will work good. I don't want to spend crazy money. On the chart the 6262 is recommended for a 2800-3000 stall is that goof? want the car to be some what street able. How do you guys feel about the 3000 stall off of cottons ;10 inch non lock up, I believe it is $550. this will be going in my TTA

60# injecters tubro tweak chip, alky kit,160 thermostat, power logger, 3inch u pipe ,rjc power plate plenum
100# valve springs, walbro pump hot wire kit regulator, rjc boost controller, fresh trans, fresh head gaskets/stock heads, dual fan bypass, drag radials, 3inch dp ,dutt neck ic
valve cover breather
3in maf kn pipe
torqe brace
aem sideband and boost gauge
62mm ported tb

I would recommend PTC for converters. You can run a 10.5 inch converter that will retain the lockup feature and it will spool very well.

Check with Dusty at PTC for stall recommendations.

We sell the PTC converters are they are awesome with that turbo. The 10" "2800" is a great fit. I hate quoteing stall speed as one companies 2800 might be the same as another 3200 but I can fix that> also how they couple up top can be very different and the PTC excels there

I LOVE the PTC that I got from Dusty. Not trying to knock Mike, more so of just agreeing with him in regards that PTC is a quality converter. I have a 9.5 NLU that honestly drives almost identical to stock. You notice just a little slip off idle and thats it. Turbo spools very quick (6262) and even though its NLU, cruise rpm is almost identical to before. Building boost at the line is also much much easier.

Dont ask me what stall speed it is, I told Dusty what I had, what I wanted as far as driveability and goals, what I didnt want and then I let him deiced. Couldn'e be happier.

No knock felt, LOL we both get the same part from PTC. The 9.5 Non Lock is a whole different animal and no better converter can be had IMO for this car but they are more money so it depends on budget and goal.
Mike

My PTC 9.5" 3200 spools the 6262 great and is very streetable with my M&H drag radials.

my 9.5 n/l ptc is awesome with my 6262,feel a bit of stall off the line driving around but other than that it feels great.when i ordered, i believe its the stator blades you order not necessarilly a stall speed.bison recomended the 17 -18 blade.i went with the 17.i probably could have gone with the 18.
mine is 2900 between 0 & 1#

I have a 3200 spragged 9.5 non lu in mine and it spools fine. My motor is a mild build tho

I have a 10" PTC 2800-3000 with a 6262S and it works great. I have street tires on currently as my DRs wore out. I get around town just fine but if i go WOT it will break them loose. That specific converter is sweet mid range, instant boost build at 30mph about half throttle. I am very happy with it and wouldn't go with anything else for my primarily street driven car.
