hello Bruce and others...:)

i have got 2 2004r's that work great but they are from behing 307 olds motors in b-body cars.

i want to put one in my car since im tired of not having od and 3rd gear is slipping in my th400.

i have both my 85 BQ trans and my 87 BRF so what i mainly want to know is can i use my valve body from the BQ tranny along with the gov.?

i really dont want to mess with my BRF tranny to get parts out of.

i plan to use the .500 boost valve and the rest of the pr stuff from the BQ also (yea i put the .500 valve in it)

as far as servo i would like a super servo but dont know were to get it.

another question: what all has to be changed to get my speedo correct ?

any suggestions you guys could give me would be greatly apreciated i really want a 200 back in my car and for it to shift right.

or can i leave the regular valve body in it and add a (shift) kit?

im all ears and eyes at this point
thanks in advance for any and all help you'll can give me

You can swap the BQ calibration parts into another 200-4R.

As you said; governor, valve body, separator plate, accumulator springs (1-2 & 3-4), PR valve line up, governor, BR or better servo, speedometer driven gear (drive gear is part of the governor).

thanks Greg

a couple more.

i know of some guys who dont use vb gaskets what do you guys say about that?

and if i use gaskets are they the same as any regular 2004r

oh yea were can i get a super servo?

and should i get an artcarr kitt?

i did a b+m transpack in a 700 trans before and it was a killer working trans so how does it work in a 200.

heheheh

I use gaskets and .015 thick at that. also, I got the servos and you can get the ACkit from Art Carr with a simple phone call. 1-800-artcarr. Good luck Red and sounds like you are on the right path.:)
