Relay clicking under dash board

Yesterday I started up my 87 GN and I noticed a clicking noise coming from under the dashboard around the steering column. The clicking sound is similar to a turn flasher but it is louder and the rate that it clicks is slower and it clicks like once per 3-5 seconds. Does anyone know what this is?

Sounds like the powermaster pump kicking on and off. EDIT: Nevermind, just read you have vacuum brakes.

You might be right. My other car has the vacuum brakes. The one making the noise still has a PM on it. I will check the PM if it is cycling on and off like you stated.

My car has dealer installed GM Goodwrench alarm.I heard clicking under my dash and it was the alarm relay clicking,i didn't have the horns hooked up to it so it was just clicking away til i disarmed it..hope this helps...
