Right now I am running a relief valve all the way under my radio. Will moving this to the engine compartment (reducing vacuum hose length) effect spool up at all?

If you're running one of my In-Car kits, then no, it's not going to make a difference as it was designed to work inside the car.

If you're running a ball and spring controller in the cockpit(you have to turn the knob to the right to raise boost with these controllers), then yes, move that underhood immediately because you are spiking badly. As you also suggested, you will have a slower spool-up than with it mounted underhood.

HTH.

Thanks a lot. I didn't know that would cause a spike... because my boost spiked over 20#'s !! I havn't boosted since...
