Just a reminder that, as per the posted schedule, there is NO DRAG RACING at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, IL, this week due to preparations for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event on the oval this weekend.
Drag racing resumes with the SCSS Street Car Shootout Series on Tuesday, May 2rd, and the Slicks & Bikes Test-n-Tune/Doc's Harley-Davidson Street Bike Shootouts on Wednesday, May 3rd.
The first class of the 2006 Gateway Drag Racing School will be held on Thursday, May 4th.
There will be no test-and-tune or Junior Dragster racing on Friday, May 5th and no bracket racing on Saturday, May 6th, due to the All-Harley Drag Racing Association Screamin' Eagle National Event to be held May 5th-7th. However, be advised that the Sports Car Club of America will be holding a major Regional on May 5th-7th on the road course.
Also, make note of this schedule revision: the Midnight Madness event originally scheduled for August 4th has been moved to Friday, July 21st, due to the new NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event to be held on the August 4th-6th weekend.
Finally, you might want to make note of the fact that Sikeston (MO) Dragstrip has moved its weekly test-n-tune program from Thursdays to Fridays. No more six-days-per-week racing in the area!
