Does anyone know what vehicles remote trunk release will work on our Regals? I was thinking one off of a Roadmaster might work. Any ideas?

I'm sure there are many, many models that have an interchangeable release system but I usually just pluck them off of other G-bodies. Those fit every time. :)

It sounds like you are trying to add one to a car that doesn't have it? The actuator on the trunk latch is pretty universal, get one off of any RWD car from the 80's. The factory set up had a wire harness that ran down the left side to the fuse box. If you want it to be kind of factory looking just get that wire from a 79 to 85 Riviera or Eldo/Toro if you dont find one on a Regal/Cutlass(you wont see many on Chevies) and wire it to the accessory/auxillary block located above the fuse block. It helps if you have an understanding on how GM wires accessories in their cars, if you can find a factory shop manual and you can see how this is almost a plug and play. If you use the Riv harness you will have to modify the power supply end to make it work on a Regal.

I skipped the fuse box stuff on my car. Just snaked the wire under the rug and stole power behind the dash. A neat trick is to hide the button. Mine is tucked in a place that I can easily reach, but even if I tell people where it is, they usually can't find it. Makes it a little tougher for the extremely amatuer thief to easily get into the trunk. I think there's stuff on this topic in the junkyard section too. Good luck.
