Can that black tar-like undercoat used on many of our cars be removed with some sort of solvant. Seems like it would be almost impossible to get that stuff off. Just want to remove certain areas not the whole car.

Any advice.......

Thanks

Eastwood Companysells something specifically for that purpose.

I'm sure there are substitutes. You basically just need something to soften it up so it can be scraped off.

Kleen Strip paint stripper. You can buy it at home depot. Lay it on with a paint brush nice and thick, then scrape/wire wheel it off. In no way at all is it going to be easy or fun, but this is the best way i have found. I havnt tried that product mentioned above, but i like the Kleen Strip. I also herd of heating it up with a burnzomatic torch then scraping it off but ive never tried it. HTH!

I spilled gasoline on my undercarraige and it came off like butter.
Try it, its about 2.46 a gallon:biggrin:
