I didn't have time to check the vids last night Adam. It sounded really good considering it was stock for the most part.

Yep
Thanks Charlie, that engine "was" a tough old whore, now it sits head-less next the the 4.1 under my work bench (I'm scared to look at the toasted piston so I left the bottom end in it)

As you guys can tell I'm not on as much now. Between work and finally getting the 83 in the shop for repairs I've been a little busy. I started this morning helping a friend load up his truck with cores and didn't finish until 9 tonight. I'm stiff and tired but the rear quarter is almost done. I'll start a new thread later about how I've done it and I'm no body man but I think I did pretty good so far.

agh your doing great.... im not around here much either..... its just that time of the year to be working!

You know, I never checked the inline fuel filter since I installed it. I assumed it was working properly and everything was going to plan. Well it sure was working properly, It was clogged so I cleaned the element and back together with it. That took care of ALL the problems and created new one like too much pressure now, lol Had to lower it down 12psi. But now talking about a huge power delivery difference:eek:

LOL Yeah the power is back, the fuel pressure is back and rising with boost. Car runs even better now also means even less traction. But not for long I'm thinking 2nd week in July and I'll have the last of the axle mod complete. I've got to get this stupid Ford out of my garage first.

I know what you mean about getting things out of the shop Adam. I've got an AC job that is taking longer than I'd like but at least he can drive the truck for now. I've got to take the high pressure switch out and suck it down again. I should never agree to let someone do most of the work and let me finish it up for him.

Glad to here you got her running right again though.

Alright! so I took the day off of working on other peoples stuff and tweaked my own ride.
Valve springs! I decided to swap out my stockers for the comp 980's for good reasons mostly so the originals are out. Then changed the oil and filter.
I'm going to the Flashlight Drags tomorrow in Waynesburg, PA;)and that is a 43 mile journey for me and I've driven the car on the interstate once before and I thought it was revving a bit high for just cruising with 3.42's and a 3 speed.
Now I have a little better peace of mind while cruising on the interstate right in the torque peak and the car just wanting to roll.
I test drove the car tonight and I'm getting about 500 more rpm's on top and it's pulling harder and further now, Not much different from the Lt1 springs I ran on the old engine,So super upgrade from the valve springs.
I included a shot of the plugs too while they were out, They look good it's a solid tune I'm running and you can't even tell that I made several 100 shot N20 pulls.

A couple of them look slightly rich but that's better than lean Adam. Make sure to take lots of pics and tell us how you do with her.

Yep a couple have oil on them. I can't do really good tomorrow: no stall, the 1-2 shift SUCKS in a th350C, and I don't have the rims anymore for my slicks.... thinking of just spraying right from the start sure I'll have no traction for a moment but sh!t it's only an 8th mile it will be over quick lol.

We really need to find you a 2004R my friend, and a set of rims for the slicks of course. Tell me how the rear feels now that you've done part of the mods on her though.

For sure! I really liked the deal on the one with the 2K stall conveter that you turned me onto I just didn't still really don't have the cash. I did find a core and I'm currently in negotionations with my buddies to he rebuild and upgrade it for me.

Send a note to Chris718 for the parts Adam. He's the one that litterally wrote the book on how to make the 2004R work and has helped me many times. You can check his site out at www.CKPerformance.com if you want. Great guy and I wish he was closer bit I've got Jake here and he gets his parts from Chis so I'm not worried about it.

Good day at the Flashlight Drags, there was over 200 cars and I didn't get a whole lot of runs in but enough to represent. I was well into the street contender elimination and winning then I wasn't allowed to race anymore which didn't really matter there was only 30 mins left, I was stricken with a pinhole in my upper radiator hose and it was leaking on the runway plus my torque converter bolts had loosened and had to tighten them back up. That was the most back to back beating I've ever done on this car...It liked it.
Video's suck I could get anybody worth a sh!t to be my camera person (least they tried)

You better be joking, Sounds like a straight piped turbo to me the cut out was open all day, Still quiet though you really only hear it when I'm seeking traction.
No times just a Win light every time. There was a lot of fast/quick cars there

It may be because of where you were but listen to the lats vid. When you come in front of the stands it soulnds kinda like a fart can, sorry.
