I am going to tackle the valve springs on my 90k mile stock motor this weekend. What is a good valve spring to replace the OEM springs with? LT1 springs? Or is there a better option?

The lt-1's are probably the highest # spring I would go with. More important would be checking spring pressures to be correct @recommended hieght.

Comp 980s will be fine. Dont reuse the cups off the old springs. Change the intake valve seals while you're there, new plugs too. Should be good to go after that.

I am considering doing this also since I have to change my valve cover gaskets. I just want to confirm that what we need is comp cam 980-12. Thanks
