My car has 88K miles on it and to my knowledge the tranny hasn't been gone thru. I installed an orange stripe converter a while back and it's just not getting the job done. The car has a stock engine as of now with a TA60, V4, 3"THDP, 009 inj. and race chip.
The car will soon be getting champion iron heads, weber 206/206 flat tappet and retaing the above mentioned mods, at leas until a double pumper and bigger injectors are in the budget.
I want a new converter. Bruce has been very nice to me on here and the phone and i'm tossed between a Vigilante and one of Bruce's converter's.
(1) Will just a converter help me get the car faster like it is before the heads and cam.
(2) If so, will I be able to use the same converter when i add heads and cam, or should i just wait.
(3) Should i just wait on converter all together until i can afford to do a GOOD tranny.
(4) Car will also be hit with a 75-100 horse NOS kit from time to time with the motor like it is and after the heads and cam to.
